PARENT INFORMATION

At First Steps Nursery, we focus on working with parents to understand more about their child’s development. We like parents to feel welcome into the nursery and we invite them to share their interests with the children. We like to work in partnership with parents to successfully settle their child into the nursery and continue this relationship throughout the child’s time at nursery.

 

Parents are encouraged to share their child’s observations and to look at their child’s portfolio as parental involvement is beneficial to children’s learning and development of self esteem. We believe that children benefit most from early years education and care when parents and settings work together in partnership. Home observation forms can be completed if a parent comments on something a child does at home.
